Delhi is a multi-ethnic city and reflects the secularism

The religious places of four major religions co-existing
harmoniously in the heart of Delhi, namely, Islam, Hinduism,
Sikhism and Christianity.
There are several churches in Delhi but the two most
well-known one are the colonial churches of Cathedral
Church of Redemption and Church of the Sacred Heart,
both projected by Henry Medd.
Delhi has five important gurudwaras that are significant
points of Sikh pilgrimage and were built to commemorate
the visits of the five Gurus, who visited the capital
at different times.
A number of Muslims reside in the country since centuries
and Delhi has quite a few impressive mosques that have
appealing history attached to them. Some of these mosques
are a chart delight.

The temple represents the Bahai faith which is broad
in its outlook, scientific in the influence it exerts
on the hearts and minds of men.
Jama Masjid
Built by Shah Jahan in 1658, it is one of the largest
mosques in India with a seating capacity of more than
20,000.
Nizam-ud-din Shrine
This is the tomb of the famous Sufi saint, Nizam-ud-din
Auliya and after his burial it became the coveted cemetry
of Muslim nobility.
ISKCON Temple
Built on a hilly place in 1998, the ISKCON Temple
is a complex of temples. Devoted to Lord Krishna, this
elegant temple is one of the largest temple complexes
in India.
