Red Fort is a marvelous architecture built during the
reign of Shah Jahan in 1639. One of the largest and
finest mosques in South Asia is Jama Masjid which was
built by the order of Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in 1656.
The architectures of old Delhi was mainly created under
the patronage of Shah Jahan. The famous market place
Chandni Chawk in old Delhi was also created by Shah
Jahan.
New Delhi is enriched two World Heritage sights. These
are Humayun's Tomb which was created by the widow of
Mughal emperor Humayun and Qutab Minar which was constructed
by the order of Qutab ud din Aybek of Slave dynasty
in 1206. The red sandstone monument is 72.5 meters high.
In New Delhi one can also see the new architectures
like the Bahai Temple or Lotus Temple, Rashtrapati Bhavan,
India Gate and old architectures like Purana Quila,
Nizamuddin's Tomb and Akshardham Temple.
