Razia Sultan's Tomb is situated in the Bulbuli Khane
locality. This tourist attraction in Delhi is to the
east of Kalan Masjid, at some distance from Turkman
Gate. Razia Sultan was the only woman in the to rule
over Delhi.
Razia Sultan's Tomb is placed on a raised platform
in the center of a walled courtyard which has an area
of approx 35 sq feet.This courtyard has no roof and
here you will also find the grave of her sister Saziya.
There is a prayer mihrab here on the western side and
the courtyard has two more small graves in the southwestern
corner, probably of children, who are anonymous in history.
The legend tells that Razia Sultans brother and
successor Behram Shah constructed this tomb here away
from the Qutb area intentionally.
