Temple of Laxmi Narayan - Birla Mandir is a very well-known and attractive tourist
destination situated in the southern part of Jaipur.
Constructed by India's one of the biggest business tycoons
Birlas, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu ( Narayan)
and his consort Lakshmi formerly called as Lakshmi-Narayan
Temple.
Its other name is Birla Mandir. It is positioned
quite close to the Moti Doongri fort, which was transformed
to a small palace by Ram Singh II and Gayatri Devi.
Symbolizing the secular nature of the country, the
temple boasts three domes, which represent dissimilar
approaches to religion.
It is a beautiful white marble
temple, which seems to shine at night.
The Birla Mandir
in Jaipur attracts many tourists and devotees every

On the event of Janmasthami, the temple gets decorated

This was considered inauspicious and the sons were again sent to bring back the marble slab. However, all the sons got killed while on their way back. The king did not give up and sent his eldest son to fetch the marble.
He was also attacked by the robbers, but with the help of a saint he managed to both save himself and kill his attackers. Yugkara, the eldest prince returned successfully with the required slab which was used to make the image of Lord Vishnu in the temple.
