Trip to Himachal Pradesh - Other than the natural beauty Himachal Pradesh is also
popular as a religious place. There are number of Temples
in Himachal Pradesh. There are Bhootnath Temple, Syamakall
Temple, Raghunath Temple, Bijli Mahadev Temple, Parashurama
Tal and Renuka Temple and Triloknath Shiva Temple. Tourists
and pilgrims visit these Temples in Himachal Pradesh.
Bhootnath Temple is situated in Mandi. It is
a very old temple established in 1520s. There
is an ornamented statue of Lord Shivas bull Nandi.
The worship place is decorated with beautiful paintings.
The pilgrims thronged the temple during the time of
Shivratri. The Temples in Himachal Pradesh also include
Syamakall Temple which is also famous as Tarna Devi
Temple. During the 17th century this temple was built
by the order of Raja Shyama Sen.
There are other Temples in Himachal such as Raghunath
Temple which also was created during 17th century
by Raja Jagat Singh of Kulu. There is a statue of Ram
which was brought from Ayodha. Balaji Mahadev Temple
is situated 2460 meter above the sea level. The high
pole catches lightning and it destroys the Shivalinga.
It is a unique feature of this temple. Parashurama
Tal and Renuka Temple is situated at the banks of
the Renuka Lake. There is a myth related to this temple.
According to the belief every year in the month of November
Parasurama an incarnation of Vishnu spiritually meet
his mother. The Triloknath Temple has the architecture
of Nagari style.
