Ajmer Tourist Attractions - Ajmer is famous as one of the most significant pilgrimage centers in India. It is in fact the most sought after destination for both the Hindus and Muslims. It is believed that majority of the tourist attractions in Ajmer are essentially the sites of pilgrimage. One of such tourist sites in Ajmer is Dargah or tomb of the 13th century Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chist. Dargah-e-Sharif: this popular Dargah or tomb houses the mortal remains of Khawaja Moin-ud-din Chisti. Situated at the foot of a hill, this Dargah is an elegant site to relish the beauty of marble dome and a courtyard which lay encircled by a silver platform in the Tour to Rajasthan. In this Dargah devotees offer rose and jasmine flowers to seek the blessings of the Khawaja. It is believed that those who pray here with pure hearts their wishes are fulfilled soon. During annual 'Urs' festival, millions of devotees from all the corners of the world gather here and pay services to seek blessings of Khawaja.

Taragarh Fort: sitting ideally on the top of the hill, this fort offers panoramic vistas of the Ajmer city. This magnificent fort was constructed by Ajaipal Chauhan in 7th century.

Adhai-Din-Ka-Jhonpra: this elegant mosque was built by Alauddin Khilji, a Delhi Sultant king. Situated on the boundaries of Ajmer city, this mosque presents a fantastic example of Indo-Islamic architecture. In this mosque you will see exquisitely designed archways and pillars carved with Kufi and Jughra inscriptions from the holy Quran.

Ana Sagar Lake: this artificial lake is the best place to unwind in the Tour to Rajasthan. This picturesque lake was constructed by Anaji between 1135 and 1150 AD. There are Daulat Bagh Gardens and marble pavilion in its vicinity.
