Mount Abu Tourist Attractions is nestled between the verdant surroundings of Aravali hills. It is located at an elevation of 1,220 m above the sea level. Being the only hill station in the desert state of Rajasthan, Mount Abu is very popular for its picturesque setting and untarnished beauty. Previously the summer resort of the Rajput royal families and later the British, Mount Abu abounds in numerous recreation bungalows of the British and the hunting palaces of the Rajputs. In fact, Mount Abu is a significant pilgrimage center as well. And it is owing to this fact that The Jain and Hindu temples are regarded as important tourist attractions in Mount Abu.

Dilwara Jain Temples: of the various temples, Dilwara Jain Temples are considered to be the major source of tourist attractions in Mount Abu. These temples were built between 11th and 13th centuries AD. Being the specimen of the brilliant temple architectures, these temples are essentially consecrated to Jainis. These temples boast of magnificent carvings in white marbles. There can also be seen the carved images of female figures in dancing poses on some of the 48 pillars. These temples are devoted to different tirthankaras. However, the one temple that deserves special mention located in the complex of Dilwara is The Vimal Vasahi temple. It took 14 years to complete this temple and is dedicated to Adinath, the first Jain tirthankaras.

Nakki Lake: to wallow in absolute picnic mood, Nakki Lake is best to seek. This lake offers stunning views of the hills located in its vicinity. It is in fact an ideal place to take time off to boating. According to famous legend, this lake derived its name from ‘Nail’ as it is believed that it was created by the nail of a Hindu God.

Guru Shikar: On the tour to Mount Abu this is a must visit Hindu pilgrimage site. It is the topmost peak of the Aravali range and is situated around 15 km northeast of Mount Abu.

Besides, you can also visit Gaumukh Temple, Adhar Devi Temple and Shri Raghunathji Temple in Mount Abu.
