Traveling to Badrinath Tour

Since time immemorial the Himalayas have been worshipped as the abode of Hindu divinity and there are a number of pilgrim sites at the Himalayan foothills. Your tour to Badrinath will take you to one of the sacred centers of Hindu pilgrimage. Trust TourofTajMahal.com to provide you with the requisite inputs on Badrinath Tour.

Badrinath Temple – This temple is bound to be your first stop-over during your Tour of Badrinath. Located on the bank of the Alakananda River, the construction of the temple can be traced back to the Vedic times. This temple is said to have been built by the Adi Guru Shankaracharya. The entrance to the temple is significant. One remarkable fact about the temple is that its gates remain closed from the months of October to April during which the idol of Vishnu is transferred to the Vasudeva Temple at Joshimath.

Tapt Kund – This is a natural wonder of sorts. Tapt Kund, as the name suggests is a hot water spring located close to the temple. The water remains hot even during freezing cold winters and is said to contain curative properties.

Sheshnetra – This is a massive rock boulder that has an interesting impression of the Shesh Nag or the serpent on which Lord Vishnu rests.

Mata Murti Temple – The Mata Murti Temple is another important temple in Badrinath dedicated to Lord Badrinath.

Mana Village – Many tourists on their Tour of Badrinath make it a point to visit the Mana Village which is situated at a distance of about 3 km from Badrinath. This village interests a lot of tourists because it is the last village of India on this border. The Mana Village is also the last military post of the Indian army.
