Situated 20 km from Dehradun and 15 km from Mussoorie
Kempty Waterfalls is one of the fascinating places to

It is located in the middle part of
Dehradun and Mussoorie. The falls has lovely hilly surroundings.
The Kempty Waterfalls comes from 4500 feet high altitude.
Just before coming down to the plain the falls divided
into five parts and provides marvelous jumping and gushing
view to the viewers.
Kempty Waterfalls became famous as a tourist destination
by John Mekinan in 1835. The name Kempty comes from
'Camp-tea' as the place was popular for tea parties
among the British people.
You can reach Yamuna River
by passing Kempty Waterfalls 12 km downhill and crossing
Algar River.
You can do fishing, swimming and other
water sports in Kempty waterfalls. There are several
restaurants and eateries around the Kempty Waterfalls.
Dasham Falls
About 40 km away from Ranchi on Jamshedpur Road, Bihar, is a village named Taimara near which flows the Kanchi river. Falling from a height of about 144 feet Kanchi river makes a pretty fall called Dassam falls encircled with enchanting scenes. It is also known as Dassam Ghagh. The tourists are warned not to take bath in the falls or at least be careful while bathing in the stream.
Jonha Fall
Jonha is about 40 kms away from Ranchi. The road leading to Jonha is a bit narrow but not so rough, rugged and arduous as that of Hundru. There is also a hospice (Tourist Rest House) which accommodates Lord Gautam Buddha's temple. This fall is named after Gautam Buddha as Gautam dhara too. It is approachable by road. The tourists can go upto Gautam dhara station by train also.
